The mandatory, statutory process for evaluating and authorizing healthcare professionals to practice safely and legally within the medical institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Registration is the formal process by which the Kazakhstan Medical Council evaluates a practitioner’s academic credentials, clinical competency, and ethical standing. Upon successful assessment, the practitioner is issued a unique National License Number and entered into the National Electronic Registry of Healthcare Practitioners.
This service applies to all levels of medical staff, from applied bachelor nurses graduating from Higher Medical Colleges to specialized physicians completing residency programs.
Registration is the ultimate safeguard for public health. It prevents unqualified individuals from delivering clinical care and ensures that the national healthcare workforce meets stringent, internationally recognized standards.
To ensure high-quality patient care, the Council strictly aligns its credential evaluation with the state compulsory education standards (GOSO) of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Applications are assessed according to the following recognized educational tiers:
Registration for nurses, midwives, and dental technicians requires diplomas from accredited medical colleges. Priority is given to the "Applied Bachelor" qualification in Nursing, preparing practitioners for evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Registration for general practitioners requires the completion of the continuous integrated medical education program (Bachelor's degree + Internship), which confers the qualification of "Medical Doctor" and a Master of Medicine degree.
To practice in specialized fields (e.g., Surgery, Cardiology), practitioners must present proof of completing a formal Clinical Residency (Резидентура). Academic and research roles require Master's (1-2 years) or PhD (3 years) credentials.
All documents must be digitized in high resolution (PDF format). Foreign credentials must be accompanied by a notarized legal translation into Kazakh or Russian.
Compile all required identification, educational, and professional documents into a secure, high-resolution digital format.
Send your complete application dossier directly to the official email address of the Council Registrar for administrative triage.
