Medical education in Kazakhstan is built upon the principles of continuous, integrated learning. Guided by the State Compulsory Education Standards (GOSO) and the Ministry of Healthcare, the system seamlessly links academic theory with rigorous clinical practice.
Since the 2023-2024 academic year, Kazakhstan has successfully implemented a new 6-year integrated continuous medical education program (Bachelor + Master + Internship). Upon completion, graduates are awarded the qualification of "Medical Doctor" alongside a "Master of Medicine" degree, fully aligning national standards with international expectations.
The educational infrastructure comprises 94 medical colleges, 8 dedicated medical universities, and numerous research institutes operating under the National Holding "QazBioPharm", establishing Kazakhstan as the academic medical hub of Central Asia.
